Tab Black Hole

Stop drowning
in tabs.

A Chrome extension that sets a tab limit per window and tucks the extras into one quiet group on the right. Nothing closes automatically — you decide what to close and when.

Four small things that fix tab overload

01

A limit, not a wall

You pick the limit per window. When a new tab goes over it, the extra slides into the Black Hole group on the right. The new tab still opens — nothing is blocked.

02

Nothing auto-closes

Most tab limiters close tabs without asking. Tab Black Hole never does. When you're ready to clean up, you click the icon, you tick checkboxes, you choose what goes.

03

Always one keystroke away

Press Alt + Shift + B to open the side panel: current count, stats, the cleanup list, and how much memory you'd free up by closing it all.

04

Local-first by default

Settings, statistics, and tab groups stay on your device. Anonymous usage counts stay off unless you say yes when the extension asks once after install.

If this sounds familiar

You open 25 tabs at the start of the day. By lunch you can't find the one with the spreadsheet. Switching takes longer than the work.

You install Tab Black Hole. You set the limit to 5. Twenty extra tabs quietly fold into one group on the right. Nothing closes. You finish the report.

Try it for a week

It's free. Anonymous analytics stays off unless you agree. Privacy policy is one click away.
